YUZHNOYE TAKES PART IN DUBAI AIRSHOW 2019
The 16th edition of the Dubai Airshow, in which Yuzhnoye Design Office is taking part, began in Dubai.
Yuzhnoye’s exhibits include two launch vehicle families, Cyclone and Mayak, liquid-propellant rocket engines, satellite technologies, and spacecraft – including
a structural model of Yuzhsat microsatellite platform, Space Patrol system, a family of lunar landers, and a concept of the Lunar Industrial and Research Base.
The bi-annual Dubai Airshow is held since 1989 with the assistance of the Government, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), and Ministry of Defense UAE. The Dubai Airshow is among the world’s five largest and most influential aerospace events. The topics of the exhibition include Air Force and Air Defense weapons and military equipment, space technologies, civil aviation, and aircraft building technologies. The exhibition space at Dubai World Central (DWC) aerotropolis is 645,000 square meters.
Space exploration is a national priority for the UAE and this feature at the Dubai Airshow has been developed to support the government’s strategic objectives of building the region’s space sector. A two-day forum will be held at the Space Pavilion during the Airshow.
The previous edition of the Dubai Airshow in 2017 was attended by more than 1200 exhibitors, including 100 newcomers, with 159 aircraft on display.
In five days, the 2017 show drew 79,380 trade visitors from around the world and an order book of $113.8 billion.
