XVI International specialized exhibition “Arms and Security – 2019” started today in Kyiv.

Andriy Zagorodniuk, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Ruslan Khomchak, Chief of the General Staff and Commander in Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Arsen Avakov, Minister of Internal Affairs, and honorable guests from Ukraine and other countries took part in the joint opening ceremony and viewed the expositions.

This year, more than 370 participants take part in the exhibition; they include 48 foreign participants from 16 countries (USA, Poland, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Belarus, Austria, Czech Republic, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Croatia, Israel, China, Kazakhstan). USA (9 companies), Poland (5 companies), Turkey (14 companies) and Czech Republic (3 companies) present national exhibition stands this year. Ukrainian exhibition stand is presented by UkrOboronProm State Concern, the League of Defense Companies of Ukraine, the State Space Agency of Ukraine and more than 130 state and private enterprises.

Traditionally, the largest arms exhibition in Ukraine has two main sections: weaponry and equipment for the army and law enforcement and weapons for civilians. The exhibition will close on 11 October.

This year, Yuzhnoye State Design Office presents a stand with new advanced aerospace developments, including Blyskavka supersonic guided missile mockup, Typhoon-1 missile mockup, mockups of Cyclone-1M, Cyclone-4M, Antares launch vehicles,  YuzhSat remote sensing spacecraft, parts and samples of space-rocket hardware manufactured using additive and advanced technologies.

At the exhibition, Yuzhnoye SDO delegation headed by Olexandr Kushnariov, First Deputy General Designer – General Director for System Design, has an opportunity to become familiar with current achievements and latest developments of the military-industrial complex, share experience with other participants and find new business partners for cooperation.
