THE VII INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “SPACE TECHNOLOGIES: PRESENT AND FUTURE”
At Yuzhnoye SDO, the VII International Conference “Space Technologies: Present and Future” got off the ground. It will last four days – from 21 till 24 May. The representative scientific forum organized by Yuzhnoye SDO, State Space Agency of Ukraine, and International Academy of Astronautics is devoted this year to the 65-th anniversary of Yuzhnoye SDO.
The participants to the Conference are more than 500 scientists, developers, and manufacturers of space rocketry and space systems from Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, China, Kuwait, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Switzerland, and South Korea.
In the frameworks of the 7-th International Conference “Space Technologies: Present and Future”, on May 21, 2019, L.D. Kuchma, President of Ukraine (1994-2005); P.G. Degtyarenko, Head of State Space Agency; F. Graziani, Professor of the University of Rome, Member of the IAA Board of Trustees, IAA Academician, and other honorary guests visited Yuzhnoye State Design Office.
For 21 and 24 May, the communication of scientists is planned in the form of plenary sessions and round tables, and on 22 and 23 May, seven sessions will work: “Present and Future Space Launch Systems, Launch Vehicles, their Components and Systems”, “Present and Future Space Satellite Systems”, “Future Rocket Engines and Propulsion Systems”, “Materials and Technologies”, “Space for Humankind”, “Ground Complexes, Launching Equipment, and their Operation”, “Moon Exploration and Moon Village Association”.
In the frameworks of the Conference, the round table “Yuzhnoye SDO Satellite Technologies”, the round table of the rectors of leading universities of Ukraine “University Science – for Space”, the meeting of the Board of Association of High Technology Companies of Ukraine “Space”, and the second coordination meeting of the representatives of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, the National Academy of Science of Republic Belarus and Yuzhnoye SDO will take place.
320 papers are presented for the Conference that deal with the topical problems of development and manufacturing of launch vehicles, liquid and solid rocket motors, spacecraft, ground launch complexes, new technologies and materials, and humanitarian problems of space exploration.
The participants to the Conference will discuss the most important problems and tasks facing the world space community and the entire humankind. Indeed, in the epoch of globalization, the space industry becomes one of the priority directions of activity in the majority of countries of the world and the space technologies became ingrained in our everyday lives, which is already impossible to imagine without space communication, navigation, satellite television, etc.
The first International Conference “Space Technologies: Present and Future” took place in Dnipro in 2007. Since that time, this forum is held with periodicity once in two years.
