Panel discussions of the Ukrainian-Chinese working group on space cooperation took place in Yuzhnoye SDO. Its goal was to prepare for the VІ session of the Ukrainian-Chinese subcommittee on cooperation in space, which will take place in 2020.

The Ukrainian-Chinese subcommittee on peaceful space cooperation was set up in 1995. The long-term program of the Ukrainian-Chinese space cooperation for 2016-2020 was approved at the subcommittee session in Kiev in April 2016.

At the panel discussions in Yuzhnoye SDO, the Ukrainian-Chinese working group discussed the Program of the Ukrainian-Chinese space cooperation for 2016-2020, and carried out activities on preparation of the draft Program of the Ukrainian-Chinese space cooperation for 2021-2025.

Within the framework of discussions, the Chinese colleagues also visited new production facilities of Yuzhnoye SDO – multifunction centre for testing of the integrated navigation systems, spacecraft assembly and electric tests shop, additive technologies production, electrohydraulic test benches for dynamic tests, computation centre with a supercomputer, composite materials and new technologies complex.
