Successful test fires of Ukrainian 122-mm Taifun-1 artillery missiles, developed by Yuzhnoye SDO (Dnipro) for Grad multiple rocket launcher system, took place on July 28, 2021.

Artillery missiles were fired from Alibey, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense firing range in Odesa region, using fighting vehicle BM-21 under the supervision of Yuzhnoye SDO.

Launches were held under the agreement with Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, concluded for the previously held tests. The tasks set for the new artillery missiles have been accomplished and test goals achieved. Results will be taken into consideration in the subsequent test phase.

Taifun-1 artillery missiles for Grad MRLS: Yuzhnoye SDO, Pavlograd Chemical Plant, Pavlograd Mechanical Plant, PA Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant, SE RPC Fotoprylad and LLC KB Center.
