Today, on 27 August, Space Forum «SpaceOn Now – 2019» started in Kyiv. The meeting is initiated by the Council of Young Workers of Space Industry of Ukraine and supported by the State Space Agency of Ukraine and Ukrainian space companies.

The forum that gathered representatives of the private and governmental space sector of Ukraine was opened by Stanislav Tsyhychko, Head of the Council of Young Workers of Space Industry, Pavlo Degtyarenko, Head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine, Olexandr Kushnar’ov, Deputy General Director of Yuzhnoye SDO, Olexandr Osadchy, Head of the Council of the Cosmos Association, and Volodymyr Isaienko, Rector of National Aviation University.

Forum participants reported on the contemporary state of space industry enterprises, achievements in developing advanced launch vehicles, spacecraft, engines etc. Special attention was paid to students’ projects and start-ups.

Numerous reports made by experts and forum participants, debates, answers to questions from the audience, discussions, and informal communications – all of this will allow answering the question about the prospects of space activities in Ukraine. Such symbiosis of scientists, researchers and industry representatives is a confident step towards creating and using our own remote sensing systems and communications as well as efficiently stimulating income from the global market of launch services.
