“RECENT ARMAMENTS DEVELOPED BY YUZHNOYE SDO” EXHIBITION IN VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE
Today, on the eve of the Day of the Armed forces of Ukraine, the exhibition “Recent armaments developed by Yuzhnoye SDO” opened in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the purpose to raise awareness of the People’s Deputies and general public of the enterprise activities in defense industry.
Opening the exhibition, Dmitry Razumkov, Head of Verkhovna Rada, observed that Yuzhnoye SDO is an enterprise to look up to.
– Even in such conditions where we work today and protect our state, there are many developments and a lot of achievements. And despite all those years when, unfortunately, this area of national economy lagged behind due to subjective or objective reasons, aerospace and defense achievements are our national patrimony – and today they extremely in demand in the Ukrainian army, – said Dmitry Razumkov.
At the Verkhovna Rada Yuzhnoye SDO exhibits defense designs in the following areas: extension of the service life of the existing weapons; development of new types of tactical ballistic missile systems, anti-air missile systems and multiple launch rocket systems; development of advanced prototypes of military technology, as well as the project of military spacecraft group. All of them belong to the up-to-date weaponry, which have high accuracy, manoeuvrability and covertness. This leading precision weapons aim to solve tactical functions in the conditions of present-day combats.
In particular, Yuzhnoye SDO presents up-to-date tactical ballistic missile systems, which act as a reliable shield of non-nuclear deterrence of the opponent. They have range of several hundreds of kilometres, split-hair shooting accuracy, wide range of targets. It is entirely Ukrainian technology, developed by domestic cooperation of Yuzhnoye SDO, which consists of nearly 120 enterprises.
Group of military spacecraft are planned to be developed – Earth remote sensing satellites, which provide access to the data on survey and detailed supervision of the earth surface.
Yuzhnoye SDO exposition will be available from December 3 thru 6, 2019 in the lobby of the parliament’s second floor.
