On July 30, Oleg Uruskiy, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister for Strategic Industries, paid a working visit to Yuzhnoye SDO. This is the first official visit of Oleg Uruskiy in the capacity of Vice Prime Minister to our enterprise. Most recently he visited YSDO in 2015 in the capacity of Head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine.

During his visit, the head of the newly established ministry got acquainted in detail with the state-of-the-art production facilities of the enterprise: spacecraft assembly and testing workshop, site for the additive manufacturing of complex aerospace hardware, computation center with supercomputer and multi-functional testing center. Besides, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister for Strategic Industries got acquainted with the main enterprise performance, promising trends in the field of international cooperation, space and defense projects, among which special attention was paid to the latest technologies of Yuzhnoye SDO, satellites, satellite buses and weaponry.

At the end of the visit Oleg Uruskiy noted that he was pleasantly surprised by the large-scale technological transformations that are unfolding in Yuzhnoye SDO, new vast opportunities of the enterprise and also stressed the importance of production facilities modernization, space technologies development and import substitution.
