The election trade-union conference was held at Yuzhnoye SDO on April 11, on the eve of the Cosmonautics Day, where new trade union committee membership and new chairman of the trade union committee were elected.

312 delegates from all YSDO divisions participated in the conference. After hearing the trade union committee report for 2013-2017 and the audit commission report, the conference found the trade union committee work as satisfactory.

New YSDO trade union committee has to strengthen trade-union work and eliminate the identified defects. The trade union committee consists of 13 members. They are 12 trade union committee members and chairman – Alexander Alexandrovich Pirogov, Leading Engineer, Department 607, who was elected by majority of 163 votes. A. Pirogov has been working at our DO since 2010. He proved himself to be a go-ahead, responsible worker who is ready to stand up for the enterprise interests. He considers that his main goal in trade-union work is fruitful interaction with management to improve the YSDO team operating conditions, and the immediate tasks are organization of trade-union core group training, regular labor collective reporting, creation of trade union page at YSDO site with live feedback so that the employees could give their comments and proposals directly in electronic format.
