On 19 September 2019, the associate delegation of the Ukrainian-German Project for Social Dialog Development in Dnipropetrovsk region visited Yuzhnoye SDO.
The delegation was headed by Hans Manzke, representative of Nordmetall Company and Association of German Metallurgists and Electrical Engineers, and Victor Serheiev, representative of the board of the Federation of Employers of Dnipropetrovsk region.
Mikhail Bondar’, first deputy general director – chief engineer, Victor Tkachenko, deputy general director for personnel, Alexandr Novykov, deputy general director for vocational training – head of Aerospace Educational Center, Larisa Potapovich, academic secretary, Alexandr Pirogov, chairman of the trade union committee, Roman Mikhalchishin, representative of Young Specialists Council, and Petr Gulich, representative of personnel service, represented Yuzhnoye SDO management at the meeting.
During the tour of Yuzhnoye SDO, the guests visited new production facilities at Yuzhnoye SDO, namely a spacecraft assembly and test shop, shop for space-rocket hardware manufacture using additive technologies, and supercomputer.
Nordmetall believes that one of the most important tasks for any successful company is the activities to increase personnel’s development and the system of special technical education. These activities start at kindergarten, continue at school as vocational guidance, and end as personnel’s development at enterprises with the dual education system. Nordmetall has experience in all the MIST fields (mathematics, informatics, natural sciences and technology).
Yuzhnoye SDO proposals are taken into account in the development of forthcoming phase of the Project. It is necessary to use SDO facilities to unite as many regional enterprises and educational centers as possible. The first task is to strengthen the existing cooperation with partners in the industry.
It should be noted that the development of dual education requires a full package of relevant laws to be adopted by the government.
Summing up the mitting, the Germany representative stated that specific regulations, goals and objectives would be formulated in the nearest future and Yuzhnoye SDO would be included in the next phase of the Ukrainian-German Project for Social Dialog Development thus becoming a full participant of the pilot project of dual education.
