On September 10, 2020, Yuzhnoye received delegates of Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, headed by President Mykola Savytskyi.

The guests visited Yuzhnoye’s research and manufacturing facilities: the satellite assembly and test shop, the facility for new materials and promising technologies, the computer center with a supercomputer, the strength test facility, and the multifunctional test center.

Mykola Savytskyi, in turn, introduced the main scientific and research results of the Academy to Yuzhnoye’s General Director Alexander Degtyarev, and both leaders discussed possible ways of cooperation afterward.

After the discussion, Yuzhnoye State Design Office and Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture signed an agreement on scientific, technical, and educational cooperation. In particular, Yuzhnoye expects the Academy to join the development of equipment for Yuzhnoye’s project of lunar research and manufacturing base.

Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Eng.D. in the mechanics of space launch systems, Alexander Degtyarev was awarded a diploma and a gown of an honorary professor of Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
