On 5 April 2018 Yuzhnoye SDO held the coordinating meeting of companies and organizations of Yuzhnoye SDO scientific and production cooperation.  

The significance and scale of the coordinating meeting was proved by the number of its participants – there were more than 200 representatives from 103 companies and organizations of space industry of Ukraine, science and research institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, companies and organizations of the military and industrial complex and the research and production complex of Ukraine.

At the plenary session the results of scientific and production cooperation activities during 2017 were summarized and the immediate plans and collaboration prospects were outlined.  

The participants of the coordinating meeting discussed the urgent issues of production potential development of the Ukrainian high-technology companies. They suggested ways how to use the scientific and technical developments and advanced achievements of fundamental and applied sciences effectively.

The heads of companies and organizations presented state-of-the-art technologies used in developing and manufacturing high-technology products, as well as space and rocket hardware and defense machinery. 

It was emphasized that in order to improve the competitive ability of the Ukrainian space and rocket products in the internal and foreign markets, the effectiveness of Yuzhnoye SDO scientific and production space cooperation activities should be increased by attracting the national and foreign companies, which have state-of-the-art technologies and appropriate machinery, on the mutually advantageous basis. 

After the end of the meeting all participants visited production and test sites of Yuzhnoye SDO, where they exchanged their thoughts about perspective possibilities of enlargement and increase of effectiveness of mutually beneficial collaboration.
