On February 27 Dr. Stefan Keil, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, visited Yuzhnoye State Design Office. Dr. Keil was accompanied by Olga Goncharuk, Economic Affairs representative of the Consulate General of Germany.

Purpose of his visit was to become acquainted with strategic enterprises of Dnepropetrovsk region, which in Stefan Keil’s opinion, have to promote development of economic relations and establish business climate between Germany and the region.

It was the first familiarization visit of Stefan Keil to Yuzhnoye SDO. He visited new experimental and production areas, spacecraft assembly and electrical testing shop, multi-functional testing center and computation center with supercomputer and met YSDO management.

During the meeting, the visitor observed that he was pleasantly surprised with the vast possibilities of Yuzhnoye and underlined the importance of international cooperation development in the field of space technology.

Alexander Degtyarev, Yuzhnoye SDO General Director, also spoke to expansion of number of successful European projects with Ukraine participating and all-round development of cooperation with the European partners.
