On June 19, the American edition Popular Mechanics published the article of Anatoly Zak “The long-abandoned Soviet hardware can help China to land on the Moon”. Its author asserts that the Ukrainian Yuzhnoye State Design Office modernizes for PRC the lunar module engine created at the time of “lunar race” between the former USSR and the USA and besides, transfers to the Chinese party the engine manufacturing technology and will assist in organization of its production in PRC.

Yuzhnoye SDO officially refutes the information about the alleged intentions to transfer to PRC the lunar module manufacturing technology in connection with the fact that this information is untrue and is based only on groundless conjectures of Mr. Zak.
