A number of ceremonial events devoted to the 110th anniversary of Mikhail Yangel took place in Dnepr on October 25.

Ceremonial events began first thing in the morning with laying flowers at the commemorative plaques of V.S. Budnik, V.F. Utkin, S.N. Konyukhov and at the monuments to M.K.Yangel and A.M. Makarov in the territory of Yuzhnoye SDO and PA Yuzhmash.

After that Alexander Kushnarev and Sergey Voit, directors of Yuzhnoye SDO and PA Yuzhmash, took part in planting memorial avenue of trees in the park right in front of the monument to M.K. Yangel.

16 four-year Canada red maple trees were planted. Yuzhnoye SDO took the avenue under one’s patronage.

Let the trees grow as strong as remains the memory of this outstanding person!

Furthermore, members of the enterprise staff laid flowers to Yangel’s bust, set up in the street named after him.
