DESCRIPTION

The Sich-2-1 satellite is developed under the Ukraine’s National Special-purpose Scientific and Technical Space Program for obtaining digital visible and near infrared images of the Earth surface and for the Earth ionosphere parameters monitoring.
The Sich-2-1 satellite is a version of the Sich-2 satellite launched in 2011.

The ammonia propulsion system in the satellite supports orbital correction maneuvers.

The Sich-3-R Earth radar observation satellite will obtain high-resolution radar images of Earth surface regardless of light conditions and weather.

The satellite payload is a two-band synthetic-aperture radar.
