The test articles include liquid-propellant rocket engines, liquid-propellant jet systems, associated assemblies and units, as well as centrifugal and piston fluid-flow pumps, gas turbines (including in onboard power sources), control units and assemblies (reducers, valves, sensors, flow meters), and containers.
The following fluids can be used as a working medium:
• Liquids such as water, liquid oxygen, petroleum products, industrial oils, acids, alkaline solutions, etc.;
• Gases such as air, nitrogen, helium, oxygen, hydrogen, ammonia, argon, propane, carbon dioxide, etc.
The tests are environmentally safe, with test articles decontaminated after testing.
The test articles are exposed to a propellant medium, their operation checked at 230, 350, 600, 800 kgf/cm2 at +70 to -196.

The tests are aimed at finding leakages from different systems and objects where the internal cavity can be pumped out and systems and objects filled with helium or a gas mixture.
Parameter | Vacuum mode | Probe mode |
Lowest detectable helium leak rate, kgf*l/(cm2<) | 5х10-15 | 1х10-15 |
The zero-gravity behavior of liquids in transparent tank models is studied by simulating dynamic effect of different magnitude under local g-loads. The model mass is not more than 180 kg.
Full-scale models are tested at flow test benches to ensure required continuity and minimum residual propellant.
