DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER OF UKRAINE AND MINISTER FOR STRATEGIC INDUSTRIES OF UKRAINE OLEH URUSKY AND HEAD OF THE STATE SPACE AGENCY OF UKRAINE VOLODYMYR TAFTAI PAID A WORKING VISIT TO YUZHNOYE
A draft of the governmental special-purpose program for the development of the launch vehicle and rocket weapon technologies was discussed during the meeting that took place in Yuzhnoye on September 10, 2021. The meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Urusky who headed the event, Head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine Volodymyr Taftai, and directors of cooperative companies and enterprises.
The attendees discussed the key questions concerning setting up the activities on the designing and development of new rocket weapon prototypes and defense technologies.
The Deputy Prime Minister also heard Yuzhnoye’s report on the current progress in the Sich-2-1 (Sich-2-30) spacecraft launch arrangements and studied the results of the final phase of work being carried out in accordance with the Master Plan. By now, engineers have accomplished magnetic parameters measurements, electric and radio equipment checks, and qualification tests of a spacecraft mockup with a qualification adapter model and a separation system prototype.
During the visit to Yuzhnoye, Oleh Urusky also acquainted himself with the current progress in the work on the extension of service life for the weapons being in operation today and on the development of new prototypes.
