State (flight) tests of 9М79-1 Tochka-U missile took place on July 28-29, 2021 from Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense Alibey firing range in Odesa region.

9М79-1 Tochka-U was fired twice after the research repair, equipped with launch abort system and telemetry monitoring system, developed by Yuzhnoye SDO.

Results of the fires are satisfactory and completely confirm the performance of the missile complex, demonstrating high strike accuracy (within normal range).

Complete functioning of the systems of launch abort and telemetry monitoring has also been verified, which enable the confidence firings and training launches of 9М79-1 Tochka-U missiles.

The following organizations are involved in the development of systems of launch abort and telemetry monitoring as well as in the repairs according to the technical condition of 9М79-1 Tochka-U: Yuzhnoye SDO, Pavlograd Mechanical Plant, PA Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant and LLC KB Center.
