By order of the State Space Agency of Ukraine №1-кп of 11.01.2021 Alexander Pavlovich KUSHNAREV, Yuzhnoye SDO First Deputy General Designer – General Director in Systems Engineering, has been appointed acting General Director of Yangel Yuzhnoye State Design Office starting January 13, 2021.

Alexander Pavlovich KUSHNAREV was born in 1964 in Dmytrivka village of Petropavlovsk district in Dnepropetrovsk region. In 1987 he graduated from Dnepropetrovsk State University in the specialty of Aircraft Production.

Following graduation from DSU, he served in the army at the Baikonur Cosmodrome from 1987 to 1989.

He has been employed by Yuzhnoye SDO since July 1989:

1989-1991 – Engineer;

1991-1992 – Second Category Design Engineer;

1992-1996 – First Category Design Engineer;

1996-2001 – Lead Engineer;

2001-2002 – Lead Design Engineer;

2002-Head of Group, Chief of Sector;

2002-2005 – Head of Department;

2005-2012 – Head of Design Division;

since 2012 – First Deputy General Designer – General Director, Rocket & Space Launch Systems System Engineering.
